Minus 9 degrees & Snow:-)

After 3 weeks of hard training on lanzarote/Spain (read all about it in the previous story), I came back to a beautiful, but cold white Austria. I enjoy every minute here at home, it’s so nice to have your own place to come home to, a place where you feel happy and satisfied!
The week at home past by like nothing and I find myself packing all my stuff again for a second trainings camp.
I remember how I used to struggle with packing my bike in her bike bag. In the last 3 years it became a sport of mine to pack the bike as fast as possible. I have to say that lately with so much experience I'm scoring best time’s over and over again. Today I will try to go bellow 10 minutes:-)
So getting better and faster in this matter, I’m saving a lot of time and now I’m even able to write a little update on my website before flying out:-)

Before I left Lanzarote I did a photo shoot with my favorite photographer Bob Foy. You can find some pictures on my fan site on www.facebook.com

The transition from running in a Badin suit to running with 10 pieces of clothes here in Austria, is a big one! It’s so cold, yesterday we had minus 9 degrees and with that I even have to wear something in front off my mouth while running. Thomas is laughing while looking at me when I’m “preparing” for a run. He even wanted to make some pictures, but I thought that you readers out there, would like the Badin suit pictures more:-) Besides that you can’t recognize me anymore with all those clothes, not 1 cm of skin to see:-)
So but now all those pieces of warm clothes have been washed and are packed far away in my closet again. Badin suits and short are taking control again!!!!
Thomas and I are traveling to Fuerteventura, this is another Spanish Island close to where I just have been. We will train hard to prepare for the upcoming races.
We are both looking forward to our trainings camp on this island where we have never bin. It’s nice to be needing our Rudy Project Sun classes for protection against the sun and not for, not getting blind true all the snow here.
A lot of people from our “ Bietsmilch family” will be there, for training as well. I'm looking forward to spend some time and some good training sessions with my college’s Meike Krebs and Nicole Leder.

After these 3 weeks on Fuerteventura my first big race of the season is standing in front of me. The Abu Dhabi Triathlon ( www.abudhabitriathlon.com ) on Marche 13th.
So I hope to come back to you after this first major event, my target is a place on the stage, hope the next story will be positive with reaching this 1st big goal!

All the best,

Yvonne
